Senate Judiciary Committee Advances 13 Judicial and Executive Nominees

WASHINGTON – The Senate Judiciary Committee today advanced the following nominations:

  • Anna St. John, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Fifth Circuit, by a vote of 12-10.
  • Gregory Carl Cook, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama, by a vote of 12-10.
  • Adam Candeub, to be an Assistant Attorney General, by a vote of 12-10.
  • John Peter Cronan, to be a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission, by a vote of 12-10.
  • Jason Manion, to be a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission, by a vote of 12-10.
  • Claire McCusker Murray, to be a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission, by a vote of 15-7.
  • Luis Felipe Restrepo, to be a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission, by a vote of 22-0.
  • Joy Lynne Pittman Thorp, to be United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, by a vote of 12-10.
  • Steven Weinhoeft, to be United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, by a vote of 19-3.
  • William Gerald Hardy, to be United States Marshal for the Northern District of Alabama, by a vote of 16-6.
  • Philip Lewis III, to be United States Marshal for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, by a vote of 15-7.
  • Seth Reister, to be United States Marshal for the Northern District of Florida, by a vote of 18-4.
  • Jurgen Ryan Soekhoe, to be United States Marshal for the District of Columbia, by a vote of 12-10.
