Feinstein Sends Request Letters Related to Russia Investigation

Letters sent to K.T. McFarland, Trump transition team, Monica Crowley, Christopher Byrne

Washington—Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today sent four letters requesting information related to the Russia investigation and possible obstruction of the FBI’s investigations into potential ties between the Trump campaign and Russia. Additional requests are expected to be sent in the coming weeks.

  • Letter to K.T. McFarland asks for an interview and documents related to Michael Flynn’s communications with Russian Ambassador Kislyak, U.S. sanctions against Russia, contacts between the campaign or transition team and Russian officials and the firings of Flynn and James Comey.
  • Letter to the Trump transition team asks for documents on a range of topics including Flynn’s communications with Kislyak, Russian interference in the 2016 election and contacts between the campaign or transition team and Russian officials.
  • Letter to Monica Crowley asks for an interview and documents related to Flynn’s communications with Kislyak, U.S. sanctions against Russia, contacts between the campaign or transition team and Russian officials and documents concerning changes to the Republican National Party Platform with regard to Ukraine.
  • Letter to Christopher Byrne asks for an interview and documents related to Flynn’s communications with Kislyak, U.S. sanctions against Russia, the Republican National Party Platform with regard to Ukraine and contacts between the campaign or transition team and Russian officials.
