Jonathan Lippman was confirmed on January 1, 2013, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the State Justice Institute, for a term expiring September 17, 2015.

James R. Hanna was confirmed on March 29, 2012, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the State Justice Institute, for a term expiring September 17, 2013.

Daniel J. Becker was confirmed on March 29, 2012, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the State Justice Institute. for a term expiring September 17, 2013.

Chase T. Rogers was confirmed on December 22, 2010, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the State Justice Institute for a term expiring September 17, 2012. Her nomination was reported by the Judiciary Committee on November 18, 2010.

Isabel Framer was confirmed on December 22, 2010, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the State Justice Institute for a term expiring September 17, 2012. Her nomination was reported by the Judiciary Committee on November 18, 2010.

David W. Brewer was confirmed on August 2, 2011, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the State Justice Institute for a term expiring September 13, 2013. His nomination was reported by the Judiciary Committee on July 14, 2011.

Did You Know?  In 1937, President Franklin D. Roosevelt proposed the Judiciary Reorganization Bill to empower the President to appoint an additional justice for every sitting justice over the age of 70 and one half years.  The members of the Judiciary Committee strongly opposed Roosevelt's proposal.
