Today, the Committee will continue its consideration of Senator Franken's location privacy bill. Senator Kohl, who we celebrated last week, has asked that we also consider his bill regarding nursing home medications.

Before we proceed and as our quorum gathers I wanted to take a moment to recognize a milestone achieved by another of our long-time members. This week our ranking member tenure on this Committee extended for more than 31 years and 11 months. Senator Grassley has surpassed the tenure of Senator Biden to become the sixth longest-serving member in the history of this Committee. Some might say "long suffering" rather than long serving. I look forward to working with him for many years to come.
